Clumpy Chocolate Granola

Homemade granola is much tastier than store-bought granola. It’s cheaper to make it yourself, it can be flavoured to your personal preferences and best of all, it is so much healthier for you.

INGREADIENT

    • 3 tbs coconut oil melted
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 1/2 cups oats
    • 1/4 cup wholemeal flour
    • 1 tbs cacao powder
    • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 handful mixed nuts raw
    • 1 handful mixed dried fruit

Direction

    1. Preheat the oven to 180-160C fan-forced and line an oven tray with baking paper.
    2. Mix the coconut oil, honey and vanilla extract together in a bowl.
    3. In a separate bowl, combine the oats, flour, cacao and cinnamon.
    4. Add the oat mixture to the coconut oil mixture, half a cup at a time. Ensure the mixture is properly mixed before adding the next cup.
    5. Once combined, add in the nuts/seeds and dried fruit and mix well.
    6. Place mixture onto the oven tray and cook in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
    7. Allow to cool completely before placing in an airtight container.
