Cottage Rolls
A delicious vegetarian alternative to sausage rolls.
INGREADIENT
- 250 g low-fat cottage cheese
- 3 eggs
- 1 onion chopped small
- 70 g pecans optional
- 1 tbs soy sauce
- 1/2 cup carrot grated
- 3/4 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup quick oats
- 3 sheets puff pastry
- 1 tbs milk
- 1 tbs sesame seeds optional
Direction
- Pre-heat oven to 200C.
- Put cottage cheese, eggs, onion, pecans and soy sauce in a blender until well combined.
- Transfer mixture to a large bowl and add carrot, breadcrumbs and oats and mix until combined.
- Spoon mixture into middle of pastry and fold sides over, ensuring the edge brushed with milk is on the top.
- Cut into desired sizes, brush with milk and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until golden.
