French Onion Toast
A tasty snack for taking to a party. This simple recipe will have your guests asking for more!
INGREADIENT
- 250 g butter softened
- 1 bread stick
- 40 g French onion soup mix
Direction
- Preheat oven to 200C. Slice the bread stick as thinly as possible (the thinner the better).
- Mix the softened butter and the french onion soup in a small bowl. When combined, spread over both sides of each slice of bread.
- Place bread on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 5 minutes or until slightly browned and turn the bread over.
- Bake a further 5 - 10 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and firm to touch.
- Cool on a wire rack (the bread goes crunchy when it cools) and serve with a favorite dip, or with cheese.
