Malteser Muffins
My kids want these every week. These gorgeous muffins make a lovely treat.
INGREADIENT
- 1 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1 cup Mars Maltesers crushed
- 12 Mars Maltesers
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 1 tbs baking powder
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups icing sugar sifted
- 1 tbs milk
- 2 tbs golden syrup
- 30 g unsalted butter softened
Direction
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Grease a 12 hole muffin tin.
- Sift flour into a large bowl.
- Add Maltesers, sugar, baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the egg, sour cream, vanilla, butter and milk.
- Fold this mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour into muffin pans and bake for 15-20 minutes, until a skewer inserted into centre comes out clean.
