Nutella French Toast
This tastes brilliant with any chocolate spread, fruit butters or jam.
INGREADIENT
- 3 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tbs caster sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cooking oil spray
- 8 slices white bread
- 120 g Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread
Direction
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, caster sugar and salt in a shallow bowl.
- Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat, spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Spread 4 slices of bread thickly with Nutella. With a spatula, press remaining four slices on top firmly to seal edges.
- Dip sandwich in egg mixture until bread is completely coated on both sides, allowing excess egg to drain back into the bowl.
- Cook until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove from the pan and serve immediately, or keep warm while making remaining sandwiches.
- Serve dusted with icing sugar, and sliced in halves or quarters.
